Keihin CVK Carburetor Re-jetting and Synchronization

I’m picking up my story after the last post regarding the British Customs Airbox Removal Kit (ARK)… Day One.

It turns out that BC recommends 140 main jets and 42 pilot jets for my setup (2008 Bonneville with Air Injection Removed, Airbox Removed and replaced with K&N Filters and Predator Exhausts)… but they had shipped me 125 and 135 main jets only. I installed the 42 pilot jets and am waiting now on the 140’s and will report how that goes after I get them.

In the BC ARK instructions they say you need a tool to adjust the Idle Mixture Screws (D-shaped). I thought I had ordered the right carb tool online, but realized that it does not fit this application. So, I went the Triumph RAT Forums and found out that there are some better options available from New Bonneville.

I’ve ordered their “D Tool” for $16.95, as well as their Idle Mixture Screws for $37.95. This will eliminate the need for the special tool that I thought I had, but didn’t. While I was at it, I ordered a set of 142 main pilots, and stainless steel replacement carb screws.

We shall see if the promised 140 main jets from BC arrive before or after the ones I just ordered from New Bonneville.
