This past Saturday I was able to patch another large section of Randy’s Garage floor using vinyl cement patching compound I purchased at Menards.
Beginning state of garage floor. A cracked area approx. 2 feet wide by 8 feet long. I first cleaned out all loose material and then wet it down with water.
I mixed bags of vinyl cement patch compound in my wheelbarrow, then dumped it in the broken areas. I used one 40 lb. bag that I had, plus six additional 25 lb. bags.
I used a hand trowel to spread out the patching compound, filling in all cracked areas.
Here I am pretty close to finishing. I used old Subaru car mats to cushion my knees!
Here’s the entire area covered and almost smoothed out. I used a 4 foot metal level to even out the final surface of the patch.
