I had a strange experience this past week. I got an envelope in the email from the City of Chicago. Here is what I found inside:

So, I went online to the www.cityofchicago.org/finance site and found the section to look for speeding camera images and videos.

Then I logged in with the info in the letter…

According to the letter, this is where it happened on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:11 AM.

The thing is… I’ve looked at my calendar and I can’t for the life of me remember even being there on that day! I have no idea why I would have been there.
So… a word to those of you who ride motorcycles in the City of Chicago!
Big Brother is watching and can even make it look like you were places you’ve never been!

Arizona had photo speed enforcement. I was cited there. Their courts struck it down and it is no longer done.

Sorry about your experience, and glad it was struck down in Arizona!
I wish I had hope that the Chicago plan would be struck down by the courts, but I have little hope of that since Illinois is a very “liberal” state. Our courts, legislature and politicians seem to rig everything in their favor (i.e. corruption) at the expense of the citizens, our freedoms and just plain common sense. We have former governors in prison, elected officials indicted, rampant crime, high taxes, poor credit rating and the list goes on. Still, we elect people who keep the corrupt system going… so we get what we deserve!
It’s lonely here being a libertarian-leaning conservative!
