As I have over the past couple summers, I plan to attend the Vintage Motorcycle Classic Races (AHRMA – American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association) at Road America on June 8, 2013 as long as the weather for the day looks good. I will leave Oak Park at 5 AM for the 2.5 to 3 hour ride up to Elkhart Lake, WI. most of the way on I-94.
The event day ticket at the gate is $30 and for an extra $20 you can tour the track on your motorcycle over the lunch hour (which I do!). The track facilities has food and drink available along with restrooms and other stores and buildings. It’s a very nice place.
There will also be many old vintage and classic motorcycles to look at, a swap meet, pits open to the public, and interesting people to talk to, etc.
Anyone who wants to join me is welcome. We can meet at the Lake Forest Oasis on I-94 at 5:45 AM.
