Since purchasing and taking delivery of the 1976 Triumph Bonneville 750, there was one main modification I wanted to make as soon as possible… lower handlebars. I understand that the “Highlander” bars were one of the stock options in 1976, but I don’t personally prefer or like that look.
I purchased a set of 7/8″ low-rise chrome handle bars from BellaCorse.com (SEL-MOTION Motorsports Marketing) for $54.95 including tax and shipping. Below are before and after photos of the modification. The conversion was simple using standard hand wrenches and tools. Took me about an hour.
I’m very pleased with the new look.
Do you want to sell your original bars? The ones you removed?
Harry, sorry, I sold them with the bike.
